Occupational
Therapist

  • Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Conduct physical and psychological assessments of patients and develop or follow a treatment plan

    • Assess home and work environments of patients and decide what adjustments are needed

    • Advise on adaptive equipment to help patients with daily activities

    • Develop physical rehabilitation programs to help patients regain lost skills

    • Prepare patients for a return to work

    • Educate caregivers and family members of patients on patient care

    • Evaluate results and progress of occupational therapy on patients

    • Maintain professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide patients with the best treatment program available

    • Evaluate patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health

    • Comply with federal, state, and local certification requirements
